Clare Tourism Recovery Taskforce Chair Fearful Of Ireland Falling Behind As Travel Plan Expected

The Chair of the Clare Tourism Recovery Taskforce wants the government to take steps to ensure Ireland isn’t ‘left behind’ once international travel reopens.

International travel for holidays is set to return on July 19th, under plans going to cabinet this afternoon.

On June 7th, restaurants and pubs can open for outdoor dining, with cinemas and gyms also reopening on that date, while indoor dining will be permitted from July 5th.

All eyes in this county will be on Government strategy for the future of Shannon Airport, with negotiations with Aer Lingus continuing following the airline’s decision to permanently close its Midwest base.

Tourism Recovery Taskforce Chair Sean Lally, of Hotel Woodstock in Ennis, believes every citizen in Clare will benefit from a positive period for the tourism industry here.
