Clare's villages and towns are getting tidier with the allocation of 84 thousand euro in funding for public area enhancement.
Over 30 towns and villages will receive grants ranging from 1,000 to 4,000 euro for the development of local amenities and improvement of approach roads, with tidy towns groups in Ennis, Kildysart, Kilrush, Mullagh and Connolly all set to benefit.
Grants are also being approved for Spa Well Improvement works in Lisdoonvarna, a Heritage trail in Corofin, a Riverside Walk in Ennistymon and a Famine Memorial in Clarecastle.
Projects in Mountshannon, Bunratty and Kilkishen are also included in the funds announced by the Minister for tthe Environment.
