Clare VFI Chair Says Extended Sunday Hours ‘No Good To Anybody’

The Clare Chair of the VFI says proposals to extend opening hours for pubs and clubs are ‘no good for anybody’ in the trade.

Legislation under discussion by the government could see Sunday pub times extended and nightclubs staying open beyond 2.30am.

Publicans are also hopeful of receiving further clarity for the sector’s reopening under today’s new plan, though the Taoiseach has suggested it will be mid-summer before hospitality businesses can trade again.
