The Clare Chair of the Vintner’s Federation of Ireland is urging people to ensure they have a way home from the pub tonight.
St Stephen’s Night is a traditionally busy time in Clare’s pubs – with droves of people coming home to the Banner for the festive period along with the usual footfall.
Patrons are being encouraged not to drink at home before heading into the towns as it can lead to overconsumption throughout the night.
