The Chairman of the Clare Branch of the Vintners Federation of Ireland believes the outcome of the trial of two Tipperary bar men was the correct one.
Gary Wright and Aidan Dalton, with addresses in Borrisoleigh, were cleared of the manslaughter of English man Graham Parish by order of the judge yesterday
Mr. Parish died as a result of alcohol poisoning while staying at the Hayes Hotel in Thurles in June 2008 – the court heard he had consumed up to ten measures of spirits in a single glass.
Clare vintners say bar staff are fully aware of the alcohol legislation in place and observe it.
Chairman of the Clare branch of the VFI – Declan Brandon – says the right ruling was made in the case.
