Clare water fans urged to be careful over Bank Holiday weekend.

Clare Marine enthusiasts set to take to the county’s rivers and lakes and coastal spots are being urged to ensure they wear lifejackets.

Thousands of people are expected to decend on the county over the coming days with two Bank Holidays back to back and school children on their Easter Holidays.

A number of boating events are taking place in Clare this weekend and Irish Water Safety is urging participants to always go out with others, never consume alcohol and to ensure there’s a life jacket per person on the vessel.
