A Clarecastle Councillor has expressed disappointment after a council truck drove over Latoon Bridge yesterday despite an ongoing weight restriction.
The incident occured at around 12 noon in the midst of a protest over the possible closure of the bridge by the local authority due to the number of people ignoring the 3.5 tonne restriction.

In a statement to Clare FM, the Council says the driver took the wrong exit at Dromoland due to confusion arising out of ongoing roadworks there and that it's satisfied that he did so in error.
