Clareman Elected Vice Chair of Irish Labour Party

A North Clareman has been elected Vice Chairman of the Irish Labour Party.

Moy native Seamus Ryan won the election to become vice chair on Saturday, recieving 58% of the vote.

Mr. Ryans responsibilities now include chairing the National Executive and the Parties Central Council and he shares joint responsibility for chairing the Labour Party Conference in Killarney at the end of November.

Speaking on Clare FM’s Morning Focus, Seamus said his next step will likely see him run as a Labour candidate in Ennis in next year’s local elections.
