Speculation is mounting that the Justice Minister will acknowledge that Gardai didn't do enough to get the co-operation of whistleblowers.
Alan Shatter is to address a Dáil debate on the Garda Inspectorate's report into the penalty points system, and the Taoiseach has said the Minister will 'deal with' the actions of An Garda Siochána in this area.

It comes as opposition TDs continue to round on the Minister for what they regard as a litany of errors in his Department.
Clare Fianna Fáil TD Timmy Dooley is one of those who believes Alan Shatter has treated Garda whistleblowers unfairly.
