Clare has bucked the national trend when it comes to the cost of buying a home.
The latest quarterly report from Daft.ie shows the average cost of a home in Clare was just over 186,000 euro in September, which is a 2% rise on June’s figures and a 4.1 % drop on the same time last year.
House prices in 44 of the 54 markets across the country covered in the report are rising by as much as 10%.

Author of the report, Economist Ronan Lyons has been telling Clare FM’s Fiona Cahill that the housing market in this county could benefit in 2021, as more people move away from cities.
