Clare’s ICMSA Chair Says Action On Fodder Crisis Should Have Come Much Earlier

The Clare county chair of the ICMSA feels action should have been taken sooner to prevent Ireland reaching a crisis point with fodder supplies.

Emergency supplies from the UK are arriving at Rosslare harbour today to help deal with the shortage of feed that farmers are experiencing, thanks to months of poor weather conditions.

Minister Michael Creed has commited to developing a scheme through Teagasc for the distribution of feed with farmers urged to contact their local branch to inform them of their requirements.
