Members of Clare’s traveller community are being urged to voice their opinions on how they can be provided with more suitable accomodation and avoid repeat instances of vandalism and arson.
It comes as Clare Councillors express concern that nearly a quarter of a million euro of Council money is being spent maintaining units, many of which are vacant or have been burnt out.

The National Traveller Counselling Service feels consultation with the local authority can be key in resolving the differences between various traveller families.
Director Thomas McCann, who is attending a meeting on the matter in Ennis this afternoon, hopes this will occur.
