Cliffs dispute 50 percent profit rise

 

 

Management at the Cliffs of Moher have rejected claims that there’s been a 50 percent rise in operating profits at the tourist attraction.

Earlier this week it was reported that internal figures seen by the Irish Examiner revealed that following the pricing changes at the Cliffs last August, revenue from admissions and facilities in January of this year at the Cliffs was 56% increase on the same period last year.

Based on this Siptu representatives for striking staff at the World Famous North Clare site claim the company can afford to meet their demands of parity of pay with other local authority workers- as the centre;s operated by Clare County Council

This has been rejected by management and Director of Cliffs of Moher Limited  Ger Dollard says trying to predict future visitor  numbers at the North Clare attraction is not possible:
