The Cliffs of Moher has been declared as the winning Clare entry for the 7 Wonders of the West.
The iconic north clare attraction was chosen by public vote over a number of other sites in the county as part of a campaign by the Western Development Comission as part of a tourism initiative for the region.
Along with the Cliffs the other wonders include Glenveagh National Park in Donegal, Surfing in Strandhill in Sligo, Croagh Patrick , Glencar Waterfall in Leitrim, Strokestown House in Roscommon, and Dun Aengus on the Aran Islands.
