Residents from Clohaninchy has expressed frustration over the slow Government response to flooding in the area.
It follows a visit by the Minister with responsibility for the OPW to the county yesterday – he travelled to Springfield, Clonlara, Ballycar, Newmarket on Fergus and Ennis, where he met with a delegation from Clohaninchy.
Parts of the West Clare townland became submerged during winter storms in 2014, and while temporary flood defense works have been carried out by Clare County Council in the area, no permanent solution has yet been found.
