The consultant surgeon charged with heading up the reconfiguration of health services in the Mid West says the removal of 24 hour emergency care at Ennis General has had little impact on "out of hours" GP services.
Paul Burke also reiterated that the ending of round the clock A&E cover and the direct transfer of critical patients to Limerick aren’t part of a plan to close Clare’s County Hospital.
