A comprehensive flood protection study is to be carried out at three Clare communities which were among the hardest-hit during last year's winter storms.
The OPW has agreed in principle to provide funding for research on coastal erosion and flood risk management at Clahanes, Liscannor and Lahinch.

Last year's storms led to over €7 million worth of damage in these communities, and this study is to examine the best way of preventing a repeat.
