West Clare’s biggest money maker is going ahead.
The Cois Fharraige Festival has been confirmed for a 3rd successive year to the relief of local businesses in Kilkee and surrounding areas who have come to depend on the Music and Water sports event for an annual tourism boost.
The festival has been a sell out since 2007 but the economic downturn cast doubt over it being held this year.
However, MCD confirmed today that the 3 day event will be held between the 11th and the 13th of September, subject to license and feature International headline acts like Doves, The Zutons, Stereo MC’s and Newton Faulker to add to previous participants like Supergrass, Travis and the Fun Loving Criminals.
Tickets are available from Tuesday the 11th of August with the local tourist industry once again looking forward to an influx of thousands of music and surf lovers from across the country.
Early bird weekend tickets are priced 89 euro inclusive of booking fee up until 1st September and 99 euro incl. booking fee after.
