A music and surf festival which was due to be held at White Strand near Miltown on the June Bank Holiday weekend will now not go ahead.

A statement on the website of the ‘Cold Pro Festival’ says that it has been postponed ‘due to factors outside of the organizers control’.
The statement goes on to say that organizers hope to run the event in 2012, possibly in a different part of Ireland, while ticket holders, they say, will be refunded in full via Ticketmaster.
A host of music stars including Imelda May and Heathers were due to perform at the festival which was also set to see the staging of a 20 thousand euro surfing competition.
