There’s been a broad welcome from the business community in the county for Clare County Council’s decision to freeze commercial rates for 2010
In their Budget for next year, the local authority has announced a freeze of commercial rates and a three percent reduction in water charges.
There’s a 5 percent reduction in budget expenditure for Clare County Council compared with 2009, with payroll slashed by over two and a half million euro, leaving 115 positions vacant within the council.
