A company has been contracted by Clare County Council to carry out the ‘control of horses’ function for the local authority.
Stray horses around the county, which are not reclaimed by their owners, will now be re-homed under the terms of the new contract.
In the past fortnight alone, four donkeys have been re-homed.

It’s understood these animals have been re-homed to a site in the midlands.
