Concern has been raised about the level of loans on Clare County Council's books.
A number of Councillors have requested details of the authority's borrowings, and documents issued as a result detail expenditure, some of which is linked with water services.

Local representatives say they'd expected these to be transferred over to Irish Water, and not remain on the Council's balance sheet.
Officials insist this is a book-keeping matter, and that there's no cost to the local authority.
