Fears have been expressed about a growing arson problem in Ennistymon following numerous fires at derelict local buildings.
Investigations are continuing into three fires at the Old Convent of Mercy building, as well as incidents at two old business premises in the North Clare town and attempts to burn out cars in the area.
Ennistymon Councillor Martin Conway is hoping those responsible for the fires are brought to justice before further damage or injuries are caused.
