Concern is being expressed that lorries are “bullying their way” around Blake’s Corner in Ennistymon.
It follows an incident yesterday where a truck carrying rocks got wedged there for three hours, causing major tailbacks and delays to traffic.
It’s not the first time a large vehicle has struggled to get around the notorious corner and with these trucks carrying rock out to Lahinch for coastal protection works there, it’s feared it won’t be the last.

Ennistymon resident Michael Gallery, who served as a Garda in Lahinch, says there needs to be a simple stop-go system introduced until permanent measures are in place:
