Efforts are being made to ensure that Ennis General hospital avoids further setbacks following the forthcoming publication of the National HSE Plan.
A leaked version of the report has stated that 1,100 acute care beds are to be closed nationwide, and in advance of this, Ennis Town Council have moved to safeguard the future of the town’s hospital.
They’re to write to the Minister for Health to implore her not to make any more cutbacks to the health service in the Mid-west.
