A new charging structure is coming into place at the Cliffs of Moher which will see all visitors paying to see the world famous attraction.
Management at the North Clare tourism hotspot has announced a single admittance cost of 6 euro per adult from the end of July to replace the 8 euro car park charge along with the added cost of admission to the Cliffs Exhibition.
The move follows a strategic review of the business involving the local community, tourism and travel trade stakeholders as well as centre staff and tenants.
Management at the Cliffs say the changes, have been made to make the payment more straightforward, however its likely to cause controversy given previous concerns over parking charges at the Cliffs
Local trader Gerry Cahill is concerned that the price changes will be a disincentive for local people and tourists to visit the world famous attraction as currently visiting the cliffs themselves is free
