An Ennis-based retail lobby group says businesses have been put at risk by the Revenue’s handling of the Local Property Tax.
As the Oireachtas Finance Committee asks the head of Revenue, Josephine Feehily, to appear before the Committee to explain how the scheme operates, Retail Excellence Ireland has called on them to reverse what they’re describing as ‘an act of gross incompetence’.

Nearly one million letters have been sent in recent weeks, asking people to select their preferred payment method, some of which will see them pay next year’s tax this month.
