Concerns have been raised in Ennis regarding the conservation of historic buildings.
Local representatives are worried that the maintenance of these structures are placing an unfair burden on their owners.

The issue was raised at a recent meeting of Ennis Town Council by Fianna Fail Cllr Brain Meaney who expressed worry that the conditions of some of these dwellings were presenting a danger to the inhabitants.
Cllr Meaney says rules should apply to the exteriors of these premises but not interiors.
