The Shannon Chair of the Irish Hotels Federation is expressing confidence that a strong performing hotel sector in Clare will continue to soar.
According to the IHF, 70 percent of hoteliers in this county say business is up on this time last year – though advance bookings are down.
A rise in the number of ‘staycationers’ and visitors from the US and continental Europe is said to be driving this boost in trade, while almost half have seen a drop in UK customers.
