The Cathaoirleach of Clare County Council is hitting out at objectors who have led to delays for flood protection works in Clonlara.
The Part 8 planning application was withdrawn by the local authority on the foot of submissions received against it, with the hope of addressing the concerns and progressing the project quickly.
It’s now three years since major floods there, which led to several people being evacuated from their homes, and regular calls have been made for the project to move on to put people’s minds at ease.
