The announcenment to build the new children's hospital at the Dublin inner city site of St James' is continuing to cause controversy.
50 thousand signatures have been collected to support the build at the James Connolly hospital in Blanchardstown which has far more space and less cramped conditions.

One of Ireland's leading paediatricians Dr Fin Breatnach is encouraging people to sign an online petition at connollyforkidshospital.com
He says connecting a children's hospital to an adult facility is ridiculous.
