There’s good news for Barefield National School.
The Department of Education has approved contracts for a major building project at the site which will see its classroom numbers increase to 16.
It was one of 43 projects announced by the Education Minister last February for eventual development.

The works will include ancillary accommodation and a GP Hall and according to Junior Minister and Clare TD Tony Killen the education department will shortly the school to issue the Letter of Acceptance for the extension and refurbishment work.
