Two problem apartment blocks in Shannon are finally set to be torn down in the coming weeks.
Contracts have been signed for the demolition of the Tradaree Court Flats and the development of a green area.

The 30 one bedroom apartments, built in the 1970’s to house single parent families have fallen into disrepair in recent years leading to incidents of anti social behaviour.
The demolition work will be carried out by Hegarty Demolition -which was founded by West Clare native Sean Hegarty
Patricia McCarthy, Chairperson of the Housing SPC and local councillor says the work is a positive development for Shannon
