Gardaí in Shannon are warning parents of a situation that has unfolded this week, where young teenagers and children have been gathering in groups in the town’s estates overnight.
Last night saw Gardaí tied up for a number of hours trying to track down the youths, who had been congregating in several residential areas, engaging in anti-social behaviour.
This is despite the social distancing guidelines currently in place.

Gardaí are asking parents to make sure they know where their children are and if they are aware of their child engaging in this kind of activity, to speak to them.
