Clare County Council has been asked to provide emergency accomodation to homeowners who are trapped by floodwaters following Storm Desmond.
Two families at Doorus in O'Callaghans Mills as well as other residents at Springfield in Clonlara have sought an alternative place to stay, as flood waters leave some people effectively cut off.

At Doorus, a 90 year old woman is among those who cannot leave her home as flood waters have covered a key access road in several feet of water.
