Clare County Council is to take a fresh look at alternative designs for the controversial Limerick Northern Distributor Road.
The local authority here initially gave the project the green light a year and a half ago but it was held up when Limerick Councillors raised their concerns.
However, the elected representatives in Limerick approved a variation of the 150 million euro project in recent weeks.
