Clare County Council has honoured local volunteers with the samaritans, as the group celebrates thirty years of providing services to people in the county.
Clare and Ennis Samaritans have been providing assistance in the county since June of 1982, and this week saw a civic reception held in honour of the group’s members at Aras Chontae an Chlair.

The event was intended by past and present volunteer members of the Clare and Ennis branch of the Samaritans, including the organisation’s Director Gerry Dobbin.
Mayor of Clare Councillor Pat Hayes feels the recognition is well deserved.
