Permanent Traffic Calming measures to tackle one of the worst accident Blackspots on the main Crusheen to Gort Road could be in place within months.
Clare County Council has applied to the NRA to fund long term road safety measures near the home of Tubber pensioner Martin McGuane who’s home at Bunnahow has been the location for seven serious road collision in the last 10 years.
Tow of the incidents took place within the past three months, prompting the council to erect temporary flashing signs to warn motorists to slow down due the hazardous bends in the area.
Councillor Pat Hayes raised the issue at a meeting of Clare County Council this week and was pleased to learn that works could commence in the coming months
