Council Spends Seven Thousand On Patrick’s Day Trips Abroad

Clare County Council is spending almost 7,300 euro on staff visits abroad for St Patrick’s Day.

The Cathaoirleach of Clare County Council, Bill Chambers and the local authority’s Chief Executive Pat Dowling are taking part in a seven day visit to New York, in the United States.

As part of the trip they’re meeting with the Clare Association of New York, Tourism Ireland, Enterprise Ireland and the IDA, while they’ll also take part in the New York St Patrick’s Day Parade alongside the Clare New York based contingent.

Just over 5,400 euro of the spend has gone towards flight and accommodation with the remainder on subsistence and travel visas.
