Clare’s local authority has been told to get on with the work of emergency coastal repairs and the government will pay them back.
Clare County Council has been asked for further details of the €23.7m sought to clean up places like Lahinch, Quilty and Carrigaholt and Kilbaha, but has already carried out emergency works in some areas in the hope the funds can be recouped.
