Clare Councillors are calling for the controversial Brosnan report on the Limerick Boundary to be scrapped.
It follows comments made by Ministter Phil Hogan who described the report as useful in his plans to reform local government in Limerick though he didn’t share his views on whether Westbury and Shannonbanks should be part of a new city authoirty there
The Minister discussed the boundary issue with local councillors at a meeting in Ennis this week and said he’ll be making his recommendations to cabinet ahead of the summer recess.

However Westbury Labour Councillor Paschal Fitzgerald says any plans involving South East Clare should be off the table.
