Clare County Councillors are appealing to the government to provide funding for social housing.
The coalition has granted just over 300,000 euro for improving energy efficiency in homes already in the owneship of the local authority.

However with the housing list currently at over 3,000 public representatives say construction needs to begin on new developments.
Fianna Fáil's Michael Hillery has received backing from councillors across party in the call.
