It’s reported that Clare County Council has managed to rake in 65 percent of water charges from business across the county.
A new report in today’s Irish Independent claims plans to introduce the charges to the public next year are set to descend into chaos as it alleges most local authorities aren’t forcing businesses to pay up.

The lowest collection rates from companies were in Wexford and Wicklow at 23 percent while Clare County Council was among the top nine local authorities that managed to collect the levy from business people.
