A South East Clare mother is calling for every child maintenance case needs to be dealt with individually.
Proposals are coming before the Seanad seeking to establish a number of reforms to transform the child maintenance system in Ireland.
The proposition aims to calculate fair amounts of regular child maintenance payments proportionate to a parent’s income and the amount of care they provide.

Trish Lehane, a single mother from Cratloe, believes it is dangerous to tar every instance with the same brush and that it should be dealt with on a case by case basis.
