It’s claimed the decision to locate the new divisional Garda headquarters for Clare and Tipperary in Ennis is a case of common sense prevailing.
The move was announced by An Garda Síochána yesterday, ending the speculation over where the base would be once the two counties merge from January.
Concern had been expressed in this county that it would go to Thurles, despite Clare having an international airport and a number of high-profile state visits.
