Gardaí are warning people in Clare to stay close to your primary residence, as the long weekend continues.
Those in breach of the 2km travel restrictions are now in line for a fine of up to €2,500, while they could also face a jail term of six months.
Gardaí have a legal footing to enforce the restrictions until midnight tonight and it forms a major part of their Bank Holiday road safety campaign.
