Gardaí in Shannon are appealing for the public’s help as they seek a man who attempted an armed robbery of Sixmilebridge Post Office.
The man entered the post office at 11:25 yesterday morning, armed with a black metallic object, but fled empty-handed after meeting resistance from the two staff members on duty.
The man, who covered his face, was wearing a grey jacket, with ripped jeans and grey numbers, and after leaving the scene he drove off in a grey Mercedes saloon car, with a Tipperary South, or TS registration.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone with information, or with dash cam footage from the area at around the time of the incident, to contact them in Shannon on 061 365900.
