Gardaí are appealing for witnesses, after a masked man entered a shop in North Clare and threatened a staff member with a knife.
At around 10 o’clock last Wednesday night, the man, who was wearing a black mask, entered the MACE shop in Inagh and tried to force staff member to hand over money, but he left the premises empty handed a short time later.
There are no reports of any injuries.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone in the area at the time, who may have seen the man, or any driver who may have dash cam footage to contact Ennistymon Garda Station on 065 70 72 180.
