Revenue officers have been granted a three-month Cash Detention Order after discovering over €27,000 in cash hidden in luggage at Shannon Airport.
The money was found on Tuesday, as part of routine profiling by Revenue officers who searched the checked-in luggage of an Irish national in her 30s, who was due to fly to Malaga.
The money, in two bundles of cash, was concealed as a Christmas present.
