There’s disappointment for a second Clare seanad hopeful.
Sixmilebridge Councillor John Crowe was eliminated in the 29th count of the Industrial and Commercial panel late last night, needing just four more transfers to be elected.
The seats went to Fianna Fáil’s Mary White and Averil Power along with Fine Gael’s Imelda Henry.
Yesterday Corofin Principal Declan Kelleher also failed to secure a seat in the upper house of the Oireachtas but Shannon Mayor Tony Mulcahy was successful on the Labour panel.
Clare’s last Seanad hopeful, Ennistymon Clr Martin Conway will find out today if he will secure a second seat for the county when voting on the Administrative panel takes place
